All staff receive induction training. This continues until the new member of staff is confident and competent to manage tasks alone. Induction takes the form of shadowing an experienced supporter and completing standard induction procedures as advised by National guidelines for best practice. Regular supervision is provided by the home manager and staff are encouraged to discuss any aspect of their work that may be troubling them. Training is provided and ongoing. After completing a satisfactary probationary period, staff are require to commit to a Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care course if they have not already completed one. Mandatory course such as Health and Safety, Medication and Nutrition and Hydration , Autism, Safeguarding, are provided within the first six months of employment.
