Philosophy of Care
The philosophy of support is centered in the common sense values, duty of care, human rights and equality. Nightingale reject institutional practices within the homes of the service users.
For example the right of any person, regardless of their diagnosis to be enabled to have a home of their own and develop a lifestyle that they want for themselves. To form relationships and maintain them, be safe and secure, fulfill their personal potential, access services and community as they wish.
Nightingale supporters work as a team and consider behavior and needs within an individual ‘whole’. The person – the environment, home and community – the needs - the potential.
Every persons need is different – risks and needs are fully explored to find the level of support that fits each individual.
